On the day £8 per class.

(£1 from every class entry will be donated to the Ayrshire Hospice)

Ring 1

Start 10.00am prompt

Judge:

 

Class 1:       Best Turned Out – ridden or inhand

Class 2:       Inhand Pony

Class 3:       Mountain and Moorland Inhand

 

(1st and 2nd prize winners from Classes 2-3 are eligible for the inhand championship to be held after class 16 in Ring 2)

 

Class 4:       Novice Ridden Pony–not exceeding 153cm.Combination not to have won 1st place in any showing class prior to 1st Jan 09. To be turned out true to type (i.e SP, SHP, M&M etc)

Class 5:       Part bred Horse or Pony Ridden

Class 6:       Lead Rein ridden pony – Rider not to have attained their 9th birthday prior to 1st Jan 08. Ponies not exceeding 122cm. To be led by an attendant and shown in a snaffle bridle, the lead rein to be attached to the noseband only.  To be turned out true to type (i.e SP, SHP, M&M etc)

Class 7:       First Ridden pony – rider not to have attained their 12th birthday prior to 1st Jan 08. Ponies not exceeding 128cm. Snaffle bridles only.  To be turned out true to type (i.e SP, SHP, M&M etc)

Class 8:       Ridden Mountain and Moorland

Class 9:       Show Hunter Pony - not exceeding 153cm

Class 10:     Show Pony – not exceeding 148cm

 

(Ridden pony championship for 1st and 2nd prize winners from classes 4-10)

 

Class 11:     Pony Club Pony – a small jump may be included

Class 12:     Family Horse or Pony.

Class 13:     Young Handlers – child to be aged 14 years and under

 

Ring 2        

Start 10.15am prompt

Judge:                  

 

Class 14:     Youngstock Horse or Pony – 3yo and under to be shown inhand

Class 15:     Coloured Horse or Pony Inhand

Class 16:     Veteran Horse or Pony Inhand

 

(Inhand championship for 1st and 2nd priewinners from classes 2-3 and 14-16)

 

Class 17:     Coloured Horse or Pony Ridden

Class 18:     Veteran Horse or Pony Ridden

Class 19:     Novice Ridden Horse – exceeding 148cm, combination not to have won 1st place in any showing class prior to 1st Jan 09.  To be turned out true to type (i.e RH, SH etc)

Class 20:     Ridden Hunter – exceeding 153cm

Class 21:     Riding Horse – exceeding 148cm

Class 22:     Riding Club Horse – snaffle bridles only, a small jump may be included.

 

(Ridden Championship for 1st and 2nd prizewinners in classes 17-22)

 

Ring 3 Showjumping

Start 10.00am prompt

Judge: Miss A Thomson and Mrs J Thomson

 

Class 23:     Wobbly Ponies – ponies may be led.  Pony/rider combinations are not allowed to enter any other jumping class.

Class 24:     Novice Ponies – combination not to have won 3 1st in any jumping class.  Max height 60cm

Class 25:     Intermediate Ponies. Max height 75cm

Class 26:     Open Ponies. Max height 90cm

Class 27:     Novice Horse – combinations not to have won 3 1st in any jumping class. Max height 60cm

Class 28:     Intermediate Horse. Max height 75cm

Class 29:     Open Horse. Max height 90cm

Rules and Regulations

 

1: The organisers or any persons acting on their behalf do not accept liability for any injuries or accidents to persons, animals or any loss or damage to property.

2: The organisers have the right to refuse entry to the show ground or the property as a whole without disclosing a reason for doing so.

3: Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.

4: All litter should be taken home or placed in the bins provided

5: The judges decision is final.

6: Correctly fitting hats to the following standards BS4472, 6473, PAS015, OR EN1384 must be worn at all times when mounted

7: Objections must be made in writing to the secretary within 1 hour of the event concerned along with the sum of £25 deposit. The deposit shall be returned if objection is sustained..

8: No exhibitor may enter and compete with an animal under a judge who is known to have sold and produced or received financial gain from that animal

9: Trained first aiders will be present.

10: All riders are requested to proceed at walking pace when mingling with spectators.

11: Abuse of a horse or pony will result in immediate elimination.

12: Rudeness or disobedience to any judge, steward or official will result in immediate disqualification from the show.

13: Stallions/ colts may not be led by any junior who has not attained their 14th birthday before 1st Jan in the current year.

14: All horses and ponies should be in possession of a current passport, which should be available for viewing at any time.

15: Acceptance of the foregoing provisions shall be a condition of entry.
